It is high time that you look for any of the following signs that indicates that your child is ready for the potty training: Your child stays dry at least 2 hours during the day or is dry after naps. Bowel movements of the child become normal and predictable. Facial expressions, stance, or words disclose that your child is about to urinate or have a bowel movement. Your child can go after simple instructions. Your child can walk to and from the bathroom and assist undress. Your child seems scratchy with soiled diapers and wants to be changed. Your child asks to employ the toilet or potty chair. Your child asks to be dressed in grown-up underwear.
Stress in the house may make learning this important new skill more difficult. Sometimes it is a good thought to delay toilet training in the following situations: Your family has just moved or will shift in the near future. You are expecting a baby or you have just had a new baby. There is a chief illness, a recent death, or some other family crisis. However, if your child is learning how to use the toilet devoid of problems, there is no need to discontinue because of these situations.
